Project Overview
This plastering project was carried out for Luxury Garden Pods, a regular client of ours specializing in bespoke garden rooms and interior spaces. The job took place on the top floor of a 4-storey home, requiring us to lift materials and equipment up several levels via scaffold using an electric hoist—highlighting the logistical challenges and planning involved.
Plasterboard Installation
Our team installed plasterboard across all timber stud walls and ceilings using drywall screws to ensure a secure fit. Key installation features included:
-
Double boarding external walls with 15mm fire-resistant boards for enhanced fire safety
-
Installing moisture-resistant boards in the bathroom to protect against damp conditions
-
Carefully cutting and fixing boards to form a curved ceiling profile, demonstrating advanced shaping and attention to detail
High-Quality Plaster Finish
Once boarding was complete, we applied multi-finish plaster across all surfaces, including the curved ceiling. Our focus was on achieving a clean, sharp finish throughout—ready for final decoration. The result was a high-end, seamless interior that reflected the premium standard expected by Luxury Garden Pods and their clients.
Access & Site Logistics
Due to the location of the workspace on the top floor of a four-storey property, this project required careful logistical planning. All materials and equipment were transported up via scaffolding and an electric hoist, ensuring both safety and efficiency. Working in a confined upper-floor space meant coordinating closely with other trades and maintaining a clean, organised work environment throughout the duration of the job.
